For a recent ward activity we made children's blocks for a humanitarian project. A number of people offered to cut 2by4s into the block sizes then other families sanded the blocks. We had a "International Block Party" where we ate foods from all over the world and then applied mineral oil to the blocks. My intent was to take pictures of everyone applying the mineral oil. That didn't happen. I did however get a picture of the blocks we sanded. It was great fun that even the smallest kids could help out on. The church has a number of projects that individuals or groups could help with. It was a great activity that everyone enjoyed.
