The School Year is over, let Summer BEGIN!!!
Last Thursday, June 18th was the last day of school, and I'm so HAPPY! The last days of school are filled with field days, parties, award ceremonies, concerts and I'm exhausted. Tomorrow our summer begins with first and foremost.... CHORES! (Sorry kids) but when we get those done, it's PLAYTIME. Our morning schedule will consist of making beds, practicing the piano, cleaning our rooms and doing the laundry. When 11:00 am hits, we're off to the pool or anywhere else we would like to go. The late afternoon will be filled with mom and kid time as we read together, or do math or any other learning activity we need to work on. We are starting off the summer with swimming lessons for the oldest 4 kids and come Thursday we'll be heading out of town. But for now, enjoy the slide show with pictures capturing some of the highlights of the last weeks of school and let the summer begin!

We have a similar schedule. How else will we keep ourselves sane through the summer? Have a good one!
Do your kids read the blog? It seems like it more directed at them, then at us. But I do like you plan. Do you do the chore chart? the notebook? the point system? or are you not going to make the kids hate those things?
